I found this course very interesting, and necessary for dental hygienists. I will now schedule and treat patients with CKD accordingly. This course has made me want to learn more about how medical conditions affect the mouth.

I now realize that what I thought I knew about this subject was minimal. I talk to my diabetic patients about the prevention of gum disease but realize I must more proactive in stressing recall and oral hygiene.

I loved this course. I am personally dealing wih a close family member with kidney problems who also has diabetes and I found this very informative. I will definatly share this knowledge and it gives me a better understanding of the disease and how it relates to my profession.

This course was very informational. I was not aware of all the issues that kidney failure had on the oral cavity. I knew that those people were more prone to decay due to xerostomia but i never thought about them scheduling their prophy appt 24 hours after dialysis. I am now know more about kidney failure and will put it to use when seeing those patients.

For me this is a timely review and help as I have patients with chronic kidney disease in my practice. This type of format helps when you have a busy practice and not always able to get away to attend ce programs.

AS dentists, we do not know much about the kidneys. It is a very important subject, especially as the population will begin to age. Very excellent course!
