I am thankful to be able to take courses like this involving subjects that were never offered when I went to college. This is a difficult topic because there are still so many unknowns. I appreciate the time and effort from the authors.

I believe that people are not eduated enough about Autism. This course was very helpful and i learned alot from taking it. I have not experience myself a patient who had autism. But now i know that keeping anything out of sight that might cause distress and keeping a calm manner and rewarding the patient will help the patient trust and be more comfortable in the dental office is very helpful.

I work in a pedo practice and I found the information very useful. I have many autistic children and after taking this course I feel like I can better treat his/her needs.

ASD is much more prevalent than most Dental Professionals realize, and many of these 'special' patients are underserved. It is important to recognize the behaviors of autistic patients and how to best care for their dental needs both in the office and at home.
