I felt that this course helped myself as a hygienist better understand the treatment involved in perio disease caused by faulty or inaduquate restorations. I was not aware that faulty restorative work could and would play an important role as a contributing factor to perio patients.

The instructors give a clear and concise outline of the different restorative factors with an influence on periodontal health. A variety of cases are discussed to show what problems can occur when biologic principles are not followed in making our restorations. It is also demonstrated how to rectify problems that occur due to poor restorative care.

Good overview, however slides were all of poor dentistry and oral health and could have shown some slides of better results.

This course was fabulous. The speaker was engaging; material was presented in an interesting method;time passed quickly and I was surpriesed when the course was over so soon. Great to have them again.

Course went right along with outline. Was very informative. Most parts were easy to understand except for numerical parts about the biological width.

Restorations can cause negative effects in the periodontium, as a Dentist we focus on crown preparations, impressions and final restorations and is up to us to do a compenhensive exam and take into consideration the periodontal health as well. for this porpuse it is needed to do a acurate diagnosis of patient's oral conditions such as oral hygiene, occlusion, high risk caries and perodontal status. Then perform a treatment plan in how to restore teeth and replace missing teeth. Restorations should have anatomical contours and embrasures, strong interproximal contacts and their margings shou

This was a very short and to-the-point lesson. I found it to be very interesting, informative, and perfectly timed. I will definitely do more of these in the future.
