About ADTS Dental Continuing Education Courses
The Academy of Dental Therapeutics and Stomatology (ADTS) has been developing and publishing supervised self-study continuing dental education programs for dentists, hygienists, and assistants for the last eight years.
The ADTS is currently recognized by the ADA, the CERP, and the AGD as an educational provider. This allows us to provide supervised continuing dental education to all dentists and hygienists in the United States, as well as countries outside of the U.S. that recognize the ADA CERP and AGD programs.
Many ADTS self-study courses have been approved by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) and can be used by dental assistants who are DANB Certified to meet DANB's annual continuing education requirements. Please note that DANB reviews and approves CE courses on an individual basis.
Please review our education disclaimer for more detailed information about our educational policies.
Educational Information
Practitioners receive our continuing education courses in the mail on a monthly basis. Each course consists of information pertaining to a dental topic and an accompanying answer sheet. Answer sheets are completed and faxed or mailed back to our offices for grading, along with the appropriate test fees.
Once a practitioner successfully completes a course by receiving a score of 70% or higher, the ADTS mails out a verification of completion. The ADTS charges exam tuition to the practitioner ranging from $35 to $65, based on the number of credits the course offers.
